The Botanic Garden and Museum officially joined the International Association of Botanic Gardens (IABG)

IABG was formally constituted in 1954 during the 8^th International Botanical Congress held in Paris, constituting the official organization for botanic gardens and arboreta all over the world.

The fundamental aims of this association are to promote international cooperation between these institutions, to promote the study of taxonomy of plants and to promote documentation and exchange of information, living plants and specimens between botanic gardens, with special regards to plant conservation issues.

Our institution is continuously expanding its connections in international networks, as itis a fundamental tool to completely achieve its institutional mission.
